2024 - In therapy: why the series particularly affects Suzanne Lindon

Invited on the Daily set on Friday April 1, Suzanne Lindon confided in the series In therapy, in which she plays one of the main roles of the second season. The young woman took the opportunity to reveal that she had been seeing a shrink herself from an early age.

After the success of the first season, In Therapy is back on Canal+. If the role of the shrink remains camped by Frédéric Pierrot, whose performance has been widely acclaimed, the patients, are getting a makeover. Thus, exit Mélanie Thierry, Pio Marmaï or Florence Poesy, it is now Charlotte Gainsbourg, Jacques Weber or Eye Haïdara who will play the patients. We also find in the cast Suzanne Lindon, who plays the role of Lydia, a student suffering from cancer “who does not call for help, for fear of disturbing”. A poignant role for the daughter of Vincent Lindon and Sandrine Kiberlain, who is trying out for the first time in a series. On the psychoanalysis side, on the other hand, the young actress is rather grounded, since as she explained to Yann Barthès on the Daily set this Friday, she started the sessions when she was 4 years old. “It was at my request“, specified Suzanne Lindon, explaining that she had “very quickly felt the need, small, to speak to someone neutral.“Now 22 years old, the young woman considers her experience with a shrink as”a chance“because the latter has it”enormously helped (…) to feel good in (his) pumps and to accept (himself) very early“, especially in the rebellious age.”I had adolescent crises which were greatly alleviated by my shrink“said Suzanne Lindon.

Suzanne Lindon: “I want to feel legitimate”

Actress in her own film, Sixteen Spring, released in 2020, Suzanne Lindon is gradually establishing herself in French cinema. And despite the notoriety of her parents, the young woman wishes nothing of their duty, as she often reminds. “I want to feel entitled to do this job. I see them as parents, I don’t see them as actors“, she said in Daily.
