This Thursday morning, the list of departments concerned by the end of the wearing of the compulsory mask in primary schools has just been established, 47 French departments will now be able to lift these measures.

From Monday, October 4, children residing in one of the departments whose incidence has been less than 50 for a week will no longer be required to wear the mask in their establishment. This authorization to remove the mask concerns only primary school students (from CP to CM2). For the moment, neither the college students, nor the high school students are impacted by this decision.

A precise and interactive map has been created in order to be able to follow the evolution of the situation in real time. According to Gabriel Attal, the government spokesperson, this card meets specific criteria, it reflects the situation at an instatn T: “From Monday, October 4, in the departments where the incidence rate stabilizes below the threshold of 50 per 100,000 inhabitants, the health protocol will go to level 1, which essentially means that the obligation to wear a mask in elementary school will be lifted there. ”

Keep vigilance

From next week, the health protocol applicable in primary schools will be level 1 (green) in the departments where the incidence rate is below the threshold of 50 per 100,000 inhabitants for at least 5 consecutive days.

At this stage, the Covid-19 epidemic in France remains stable and the signs are rather positive. But the government keeps repeating it, vigilance must be required. This is why the executive plans to use the health pass until the summer of 2022, a reason which pushes the government to proceed in a territorialized manner, as for the wearing of the mask in schools.
