Aug 8 (Reuters) – The Tokyo Stock Exchange ended slightly higher on Monday, buoyed by strong prospects presented by several companies, but on a cautious note pending the publication of consumer prices in the United States on Wednesday.
The Nikkei index gained 0.26% to 28,249.24 points and the broader Topix gained 0.20% to 1,951.11 points.
