May 16 (Reuters) – The Tokyo Stock Exchange’s Nikkei index ended slightly higher on Monday after rising 1.55% in early trading as weaker-than-expected Chinese economic data releases eclipsed momentum given by Wall Street.
The Nikkei gained 0.45% to 26,547.05 points and the broader Topix fell 0.03% to 1,863.57 points.
