A 54-year-old woman found a grenade and ammunition while cleaning up her father’s garage. She reports the find to the police – who come up with experts.
The locals (54) from Kufstein probably didn’t expect that: when she was cleaning up her late father’s garage on Saturday, April 23, 2022, she made an incredible find: a grenade and ammunition. She immediately reports her surprising find to the police, whereupon they called in a so-called “explosives expert” to the case. Defusing team in action The condition of the grenade was not known and could not be clearly determined, so additional specialists were requested. The specialists of the police disposal service immediately got to work and removed the grenade from the garage. It will now be destroyed or blown up in a controlled manner. A patrol from the Kufstein police, an explosives expert from the St. Johann in Tirol police inspection and two officers from the west defusing service were deployed.
