Today, Monday, the Wartberg volunteer fire brigade was alerted by siren and SMS at 13:02 to a vehicle recovery in the Scheibsgraben.
A parcel delivery driver came off the road with his vehicle for a previously unknown cause and fell into the stream. The driver was able to get out of the vehicle unharmed. After the emergency services arrived, the site of the accident was secured and fire protection was installed. After the investigation, it was found that the SRF-A Krieglach was needed for the rescue. In the meantime, a provisional oil barrier was set up in the brook in the event that equipment leaked. After approval by the police, the vehicle was recovered together with the Krieglach fire brigade. By using the crane and the cable winch, the vehicle could be lifted out of the stream bed without further damage. After the accident site had been cleaned, it was possible to return to the armory at 3 p.m.
