An Austrian climber died in the Slovenian Alps on Saturday afternoon.
The woman slipped and fell while crossing an exposed snow-covered area on the Jezerska Kocna (Seeländer Kotschna) in the Steiner Alps, the police in Kranj (Krainburg) said, according to the STA news agency. Her body was recovered by a helicopter belonging to the Slovenian army. “Inadequate equipment” “All circumstances indicate an accident and a slip due to inadequate and defective equipment,” the Slovenian authorities said.
