Trump is said to have harassed the governor of Arizona

When Donald Trump loses Georgia to Joe Biden in the 2020 presidential election, he unsuccessfully incites the election officials to cheat. The billionaire in Arizona is said to have tried something similar. Trump also tried to implicate his then-Vice President Pence in the scam, according to a report.
After his election defeat in November 2020, former US President Donald Trump is said to have put pressure on the then governor of Arizona to overturn the election results. The “Washington Post” reports, citing three unnamed sources, that Trump asked Republican Doug Ducey on the phone to subsequently reverse the result in the state. The interview is said to have taken place at the end of 2020.
The newspaper also reports that Trump also instructed his then Vice President Mike Pence to pressure Ducey. Pence then called Ducey several times, but did not follow his boss’s instructions. Last summer, the Republican chairman of the Arizona House of Representatives, Russell Bowers, described to a committee of inquiry in the US House of Representatives how he had been put under pressure by Trump’s team after the election.
What is described is reminiscent of what happened in the state of Georgia, which Trump, like Arizona, narrowly lost to current President Joe Biden in the presidential election. There, Secretary of State and Republican Brad Raffensperger, who is responsible for organizing elections, was blatantly asked by Trump on the phone to collect enough votes for his election success. A recording of the conversation was shared with the media at the time.
Trump claims to this day without any evidence that he was deprived of victory in the 2020 election by fraud. For weeks he then tried using questionable methods to subsequently overturn the election victory of his democratic challenger Joe Biden. The 77-year-old Trump wants to run again for the Republicans in the 2024 presidential election.
