Including two children – Five injured in traffic accident in Taxenbach

There was a crash on the Pinzgauer Bundesstraße (B311) in St. Veit on Sunday evening at around 5 p.m.: A car driver tried to turn into a parking lot despite a no-turn sign. A driver behind her overtook on the left, resulting in a collision.

According to the police, the local driver (31) was travelling in the direction of St. Johann: She wanted to turn left into a parking lot at 100 km/h, although turning was not permitted in that area. The driver of the car behind her, also a local (46), did not recognise the turning manoeuvre and overtook on the left. This led to a collision. Rescue took the injured to hospital. The collision injured both drivers and the passengers in the 46-year-old’s car – his partner and two children. The Red Cross took care of the injured and took them to the hospital in Schwarzach. Meanwhile, the volunteer fire brigade reached the scene of the accident with 30 emergency personnel and carried out clean-up work. The B311 was closed in the area for around 40 minutes.
