Incredible birth records: these are the most amazing children in the world!

These birth records are awesome! The heaviest baby in the world, the youngest mother ever: These stories sound really incredible – and yet they are officially documented. The most exciting story: Click on the video and see how an eight-member family is doing today!

The average German woman has around 1.41 children in her life. She is usually 31 years old. The baby is born after around 266 days, weighs 3,500 grams and is a boy in over 50 percent of the cases.

Yes, a birth is something wonderful – but imagine, the child you have to give birth to weighs 10 kilos? Or imagine you are pregnant with tens? When it comes to births, exceptions confirm the rule more and more often – and these examples in particular are simply unbelievable:

The youngest mother in the world:

It is incredible, but true. Little Lina from Peru was only five when she had a baby. In 1939, her parents were surprised that Lina's belly was getting bigger and bigger. Doctors finally found that she had premature puberty and was pregnant.

Lina, who is 81 today, never betrayed who the child's father was. However, it is believed that she was raped and pregnant by her own father. Also because of this (besides her age) it is a miracle that her son was born perfectly healthy and without restrictions. A bone disease unfortunately cost Gerado his life at the age of 40.

The oldest mother in the world:

Rajo Devi Lohan, on the other hand, had 65 more years under her belt when she gave birth to her first child. The Indian woman always wanted a baby, but her marriage remained childless for 55 years. It was only through artificial insemination in 2008 that the now 70-year-old brought the child's blessing.

The biggest baby in the world:

What do you expect when the mom herself is 2.41 meters tall? Anna Bates from the US state of Ohio gave birth to a boy in 1879 who weighed a whopping 9.98 kg and was 71 cm tall. Sadly, the child died eleven hours after it was born.

The heaviest baby in the world:

Admittedly 9.98 kilos are a stunner. An Italian could easily top that. In 1955 she gave birth to a baby who, according to the Guinness Book of Records, weighed 10.2 kg – phew!

The lightest baby in the world:

The situation is quite different for the daughter of Rumaisa Rahman from the USA. At birth, the baby weighed just as much as a packet of butter. In 2004 she was born a twin after only 25 weeks of pregnancy and weighed only 244 grams.

Most children at birth:

Yes, triplets are quite rare and quadruplets are even more so – but imagine if you were pregnant with tenlings! According to the Guinness Book of Records, there have been three cases worldwide where a woman was pregnant with ten babies. 1924 in Spain, 1936 in China and 1946 in Brazil – unfortunately these births cannot all be documented by medical records, which is why another multiple birth is currently leading the Guinness Book.

Nadya Suleman from the USA – better known as 'Octomum' – gave birth to healthy eighths in 2009 and has documented life in a large-large family since then on her Instagram account.

The most childbearing mother in the world:

Children are the most beautiful gift in the world – but also very exhausting. But what will it be like when you have 69 (!!!) children? What sounds completely unbelievable actually happened, according to the Guinness Book of Records.

In 27 pregnancies between 1725 and 1765, a Russian woman probably had 16 twins, seven triplets and four quadruplets. Incidentally, at least 67 of the 69 children are said to have survived infancy.

The earliest premature baby in the world:

Little Frieda really didn't have much time in her mom's belly. She was born after just 21 weeks and five days – as early as no other baby before her. By the way, at birth Frieda only weighed a delicate 460 grams – and was still heavier than the lightest baby in the world.

The greatest age difference between siblings:

Elisabeth Ann Buttle really took her time with further offspring after the birth of her daughter Belinda in 1956. It was only 41 years later that she became pregnant again and in 1997 gave birth to her son Joseph at the age of 60. Belinda and her brother could also go through as grandma and grandson – unbelievable!

The smallest interval between two births:

But someone was in a hurry with family planning. New Zealander Jayne Bleackley gave birth to her daughter Annie just 208 days after the birth of her son Joseph – the girl was a few weeks early.

The fastest birth in the world:

Lying in labor for hours is a real horror idea for many expectant mothers. The Englishwoman Palak Vyvas cannot have a say – daughter Vedika was born two minutes after the amniotic sac had burst.

The longest birth in the world:

The Irish Maria Jones-Elliott would have had nothing against that. She was pregnant with twins, but daughter Amy was born after the 24th week of pregnancy, while sister Katie took three months longer. So there are 87 days between the two twin girls.
