This Tuesday, December 5, CD Projekt Red deploys update 2.1 of Cyberpunk 2077 on PC and consoles. The developer promises the addition of multiple improvements, some of which have been requested for a long time.

Just a few weeks after the release of the expansion Phantom Liberty and update 2.0, CD Projekt Red certainly does not seem to want to let it go Cyberpunk 2077. And this, even if work seems well underway on the continuation of The Witcher. The developer is launching patch 2.1 of its game today on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, with new content, including for players who have already played it.

Metro, work, radio

Expected from the first trailers several years ago now, the possibility of traveling by subway in Night City is finally a reality. V can use the 19 stations and 5 lines to get around as he wants, either on a quick trip or by actually taking the metro to enjoy the ride with the locals. And why not by listening to the radio, now also accessible on foot.

CD Projekt Red offers another addition which could further encourage restarting a game: it is now possible to invite your companions to one of your apartments. These repeatable events are unlocked once a romance has been concluded.

Is there a little left, can I give it to you? New vehicles, motorcycle tricks, replayable car races and even better motorcycle combat gameplay are on the menu for engine enthusiasts. Boss fights have also received improvements, while sightseeing binoculars have been added in town to enjoy the scenery.

Unsurprisingly, many bugs at all levels have been fixed in passing, and many other small modifications and balances are listed in the full changelog. Technical and visual improvements are also there, while at the same time NVIDIA has released a new driver optimized for its graphics cards.

Better accessibility welcome

What does not appear in the presentation video or in the image above, however, is that Cyberpunk 2077 is improving in terms of accessibility. A new dedicated entry even appears in the options. This includes the features added during patch 2.02, but also new ones. These include colorblind modes, options for subtitles, aiming assistance, haptic feedback for the user interface and even varied options for fonts and interface elements.
