The causes of his death are not disclosed.

The dancing couple had reached the semi-final. During the auditions, the jury was overwhelmed and very enthusiastic about the performance of this duo. “I thought it was amazing, you turned what could have been a negative into a positive…it was absolutely fantastic“, had then declared David Walliams, member of the jury during this season. Following his time in the program, Paula Moulton confided in the consequences of an MRSA infection (a staphylococcus that is resistant to several antibiotics, including methicillin, Ed.) in 1995.

I caught one pneumonia and at the hospital I contracted an MRSA infection which damaged my pelvis, lower spine, hips and femurs“, she had explained to the Daily Star. “I have some nerve damage. I can stand but I can’t walk and i use leg braces when i stand“. Paula Moulton had also indicated that she did not remember her time in the hospital because she was “so sick“.

I should have died of sepsis. I’m lucky to be alive, she pointed out. “When I was told I would be in a wheelchair I was relieved because I was falling backwards and I was so exhausted. At first I managed to get up on crutches, but it caused so much damage that the only option was to use a chair full time”, she had continued. Four years after appearing on the show and impacting viewers, Paula Moulton and Gary Lyness had co-founded the charity Strictly Wheels in order to offer lessons and raise awareness about wheelchair dancing. She will therefore leave a great void within her troop.
