India again battered by landslide

Third day of search for rescuers and villagers in Irshalwadi, west-central India.

The official, but provisional assessment of the landslide, which hit the small village of some 220 inhabitants, reports at least twenty-two dead. According to the authorities, several dozen other people are still buried under the mud and rubble.

The search continues, but had to be interrupted due to rain and fear of another landslide in this steep region of the country.
