She gave a lot of thought to the choice of her wedding dress in advance, as she humorously explains: “What do you wear to a wedding when you are 54 years old? You have to think about it a little – especially if you are the bride yourself and stands before the altar for the first time. ” The question of a veil also caused her headache, since it was a “symbol of virginity”, “but between us, I had lost it a while ago”. Hicks decided to wear one anyway – but something went wrong.

The veil drama on the day of the wedding

The veil was supposed to be delivered to India’s mother, but it ended up with her friend Christian along with two flower girl dresses. However, this was only noticed when styling the hair on the morning of the wedding ceremony. “PANIC BROKEN”, writes India.

“Meanwhile, Christian became […] awakened by his twin girls who burst into tears. There were two dresses but only one veil, how should they part one veil? Christian, half asleep and always very creative, said. ‘This is not a problem. We are going to cut this veil in half […]. Go and get me a pair of scissors, “she explains. Christian’s plan was stopped in time.
