With the outbreak of the Ukraine war, Russian raw materials became a political issue. The West wants to free itself from old dependencies and imposes sanctions. Things are very different in India. As the Reuters news agency reported last week, Russia is offering its coal to Indian traders at a discount of up to 30 percent. According to Reuters, imports of Russian coal in India have increased sixfold in recent days compared to the previous year.
