If Indiana Jones’ place will never be in a museum, it is certainly in the pantheon of cinema and also in the hearts of the fans who have accompanied Harrison Ford since his first adventures in search of the Lost Ark in 1981.
In 2023, the archaeologist returned to the screens one last time, dusting off his legendary hat, whip, satchel and leather jacket for a final quest alongside Phoebe Waller-Bridge, John Rhys-Davies, Mads Mikkelsen, Antonio Banderas and the young Frenchie Ethann Isidore.
Only $383 million in theaters
Passed by the Cannes Film Festival, The Dial of Destiny – entrusted to James Mangold – did not really find its audience, with only 383 million dollars in worldwide revenue (but 3 million spectators in France all the same) for a budget estimated at around 300 million greenbacks.
