Indie World: The summary of the May 11, 2022 show with all the announcements

Just before the Summer Game Fest, nintendo gave us a new IndieWorld, which aimed to highlight independent productions with studios from all over the world. If no sensational announcement was to be noted here, the show still presented a lot of games for twenty minutes, with a lot of projects of which we were already aware and which came to specify a release date, while d others showed up for the first time.

The summary of the announcements (without Silksong, snif)

We take a full look at everything we saw during this Indie Worldreviewing the various games that are worth a look, while summarizing the rest of the announcements.

Ooblets

We are now beginning to know Oobletsthis colorful game where you have to manage a herd of strange and cute little creatures, while improving your farm and carrying out various tasks in a village full of activities.

The title has been available in early access on PC and Xbox One for a while now, but he took advantage of the show to announce that it would be released on Nintendo Switch this spring.

Batora: Lost Haven

Batora: Lost Haven then came to give news by showing some more gameplay. This presentation was mainly intended to tell us the release date of the game, since we now know thatit will be released in the fall of 2022.

ElecHead

If you like platform games that require a bit of savvy, ElecHead should catch your eye. Directed by a single person, the title has again unveiled gameplay, which shows that it will be necessary to have light on all floors to progress well. Expected release this summer on Switch.

Soundfall

Already present in previous shows, Soundfall came once again to present its concept, which offers action phases that mix shooter-looter with a rhythm game.

This presentation allowed us to know a little more about how it all comes together, especially with more than a hundred songs available, which we will have to respect the rhythm to do more damage. And surprise, the title is available now.

Wildfrost

Wildfrost was in a way the representative of the usual roguelike type card game of each Direct, but it still manages to stand out thanks to its rather cute art direction. You will have to be patient to find out, since it will only be released this winter.

Gunbrella

Probably one of the games that will have attracted the most attention during this Indie World, this 2D game published by Devolver Digital presents itself as a noir-punk type action game.

No surprise release for this Gunbrellasince we will have to wait 2023 to discover it on PC and Nintendo Switch.

We Are OFK

We had rather seen it on the side of PlayStation presentations, but We Are OFK came to tell us that it would also be released on Nintendo Switch.

The episodic narrative game intends to tell us about the setbacks of young artists trying to break into the world of music. We will discover all this this summer.

Wayward Strand

He too was only announced at PlayStation, but Wayward Strand adds Xbox and Switch versions to its schedule, and now plans to release the next July 21.

This adventure will present the story of a young girl who goes to a flying hospital and who will meet many patients, whom she will help and get to know.

Another Crab’s Treasure

Undoubtedly the most surprising game of the presentation, Another Crab’s Treasure brought his little touch soulslike to this Indie World, with an offbeat proposal that still presents a world that seems rich, with quite demanding fights.

You guessed it, here we play a crab, which will have the particularity of wearing different shells of all kinds to protect itself. The title will be released on PC and Switch in 2023.

The rest of the announcements

The wacky battle simulator Totally Accurate Battle Simulator also showed up to say it’s coming to Switch, while the black-and-white underwater exploration game named Silt also warned us that it would release a Switch version in June.

The road traffic management game Mini Motorways was present to surprise us, since its Switch version is out today, and Cult of the Lamb was there to remind us of its release this year, also on the Nintendo console. Card Shark took advantage of the show to specify that it would arrive on June 2 on PC and Switch.

In short, an Indie World without too many surprises, but with some games that are worth a look.
