Indira Weis
Sharp criticism of Ross Antony and Giovanni Zarrella
20 years ago the casting band Bro’Sis celebrated soaring. The five singers surfed the wave of success for five years, until they went their separate ways in 2006. Her hits have become evergreens and are ideal for a new edition. Ross Antony and Giovanni Zarrella thought so too – much to the annoyance of an ex-colleague.
Indira Weis, 41, is angry. The singer just can’t understand that her former band mates Ross Antony, 47, and Giovanni Zarrella, 43, re-recorded the Bro’Sis hit “I Believe” and apparently another chart success – and not the rest of the band asked for musical support. “We are all amazed about this project that nobody knew about or was asked to take part”, as the former “Bro’Sis” singer is said to have written on an Instagram fan channel according to “Bunte”. “I’m in good and constant contact with Ross and Gio. Very strange to negotiate a relaunch of the single and not ask the rest of the band, instead even keep it a secret.”
Indira Weis: “You don’t record old songs on your own”
Indira’s disappointment will probably surprise Ross and Giovanni at first, as the ex-jungle camper left in 2003, three years before the band’s official separation, due to “musical differences”. Nevertheless, the German-Indian woman seems to have been longing for the old days for a long time.
“I’ve always fought to get us back on stage together. Was always rejected. Strange after the latest developments from some of the former band members [sic]”, she teases Ross and Giovanni, and immediately shows an example of how you could do it better:” The No Angels have shown it: you don’t record the old songs on your own, but if you do, you ask all the band members. Just for the sake of the fans [sic]. “
Ross Antony and Giovannis Zarrella want to give their old songs a new note
Ross Antony, meanwhile, is happy about the reinterpretation of the songs for his album. “I’ve been in Germany for 20 years now. On my new album I look back at many stages in my career, from musicals to ‘Bro’Sis’ to my hit music today,” he explains to “Bunte”, and confirms his solidarity with it the past: “‘Bro’Sis’ was an important part of my way and I wanted to celebrate that again. Since Giovanni, just like me, is now firmly anchored in hits, I wanted a new version of’ I believe ‘and’ Do you ‘. Gio sings in Italian, I in English and together we sing in German – it’s great new versions that I’m very proud of. “
