Inflation and Co. – state parliament session under the sign of the crises

The first session of the state parliament after the election started with a current hour on inflation and climate change. ÖVP club chairman and Sager cause outrage among the opposition. In the first meeting, among other things, there was a castling in the FPÖ club.

The first regular session of the state parliament on Thursday started with the usual heat. No lesser topics than inflation and climate change occupied the MPs in the current hour. There was unusual applause for the debate requested by the SPÖ from the Freedom Party. “It is to be welcomed that these issues are being dealt with,” praises FPÖ leader Erwin Angerer, who in the same breath identified a failure by the state government. Most MPs saw the statement by ÖVP club chairman Markus Malle as a blow to the stomach for almost 100,000 people at risk of poverty in Carinthia: “In Austria and Carinthia, people are whining at a high level.” The opposition raged. Schützenhilfe came from the SPÖ. The red club boss Herwig Seiser praised the previous approach to combating inflation of the red-black state government – and the club set the course for further measures against the inflation wave with the emergency application for the extension of the Carinthia bonus. While all factions rushed to the inflation , climate change only found place on the fringes of the debate. Rochade in the Freedom Party In the first session of the state parliament, there was a personnel shift in the Blue Party. Because Maximilian Linder is moving to the National Council instead of Angerer, Markus di Bernardo is taking his place in the state parliament. Missing Villach City Council The young generation of Villach must have missed the new City Councilor Sascha Jabali from Responsibility Earth. She suspected he was on vacation just two weeks after he was sworn in. He, in turn, reported from abroad on Thursday: “I’m here on business!”
