Inflation: “Emmanuel Macron has benefited only a small elite in our country”, estimates Jordan Bardella

At the microphone of Europe 1, the president of the National Rally, Jordan Bardella, returned to the increase in prices in the field of energy and food. For him, the aid provided by the government to deal with this inflation responds “to a logic of targeting”.

For him these measures do not “concern all the middle classes who have to pay for everyone”. He also criticizes measures that are not part of a “sustainable logic such as the rebate on the price of gasoline”. “We could also recall the 600 billion euros of debt which are directly attributable to the bad choices of the government”, he added.

He also referred to an INSEE report which, according to him, points to the fact “that half of the government’s redistributive measures have gone directly to the wealthiest French people. Emmanuel Macron has only benefited a small elite in our country. “.

“The government’s cataclysmic economic choices”

Jordan Bardella also detailed the proposals of his political family to deal with rising prices: “We offer a basket of 100 basic necessities, available in all supermarkets, all shops at 0% VAT”.

The president of the National Rally has also positioned himself in favor of lowering taxes, especially on gasoline. “We are proposing to lower VAT from 20% to 5.5% on all energy because it has become an anxiety for millions of French people,” he said.

Jordan Bardella also pleads for “controlling energy prices”: “In Essonne, there is a school that is closing because the town hall’s electricity bill has increased fivefold. Companies, such as Duralex , are forced to put their production on hold. We are not paying for the war between Ukraine and Russia. We are paying for the cataclysmic economic choices of the government, particularly on nuclear power”.
