INFO EUROPE 1 – Five injured in the Paris metro after an altercation between a restaurateur and his client

A dispute between a restaurateur and a customer wreaked havoc on line 3 of the Paris metro late Sunday afternoon. The manager of the institution used tear gas causing a crowd movement in the two parked trains. Five people were injured and the restaurateur arrested.

It is an incredible scene which occurred Sunday at the end of the afternoon in the Parisian subway. A bistro restaurateur and a customer broke up following a dispute in the drinking establishment. Reassembled, the manager of the establishment pursued the consumer in the Parisian underground, then using a tear gas canister. A thick cloud of gas thus spread in the metro station.

Five injured, one arrest

Parked at that time, the alarm signals of the two crowded subway trains were then activated. A confused situation which generated a crowd movement. In the crush, five people were injured, including two RATP machinists. Among the three other injured, two had to be taken care of by the firefighters and transported to the hospital. The first is currently in absolute emergency without vital prognosis while the second is in relative emergency.

Quickly identified by the police, the manager of the bistro at the origin of this incident was arrested and then placed in police custody. Closed for more than three hours, line 3 of the Paris metro finally reopened around 8 p.m.
