Wednesday morning, a man attacked his roommate with a grinder in a residence in Cergy in Val-d’Oise. A very violent attack since the victim was attacked by surprise. The assailant, an 18-year-old young man born in Ireland, first explains to his roommate that he wants to give him a present, so as not to worry him. He asks her to turn around and close her eyes. The aggressor attacks him using his grinder, at the level of the nape of the neck.
A gesture “free, without reason”
The victim, a 26-year-old man, defended himself, but was seriously injured: in the neck, throat, chest and abdomen. He only owes his salvation because he grabbed the grinder and threw it out the window. He has since been transported to the hospital, and his vital prognosis is engaged.
The author waited for the arrival of the police at the scene of the attack. He explained his gesture as a “gratuitous act, without reason”. According to the first elements of the investigation, the terrorist motive seems to have been ruled out.
