During a demonstration against pensions in Colmar on March 2, a local figure who presents himself as a “political agitator” named a territorial intelligence policeman by calling him “the eye of Moscow”…

He had revealed with a megaphone the identity of a territorial intelligence (RT) workforce during a demonstration against the pension reform in Colmar on March 2. According to information from Europe 1, Benoît L., who presents himself on Twitter as a “political agitator” and “ex-LFI leader” in Haut-Rhin, was arrested last Wednesday, suspected of having publicly appointed a police officers from the local RT, after calling it “the eye of Moscow”. The head of the Colmar RT then lodged a complaint.

In addition, according to a police source, this local figure close to the ex-LFI and former candidate in the 2021 departmental elections, would have violently jostled a police officer during a demonstration on March 7, before disappearing into the crowd.

Placed under judicial supervision pending his judgment

Benoit L. also sent the prefect of Haut-Rhin an email describing his collaborators as “incompetent”. During his arrest at his home on March 8, he “strongly” opposed his arrest, according to the police account.

During his police custody, the suspect ended up recognizing, at a minimum, the alleged facts. He was placed under judicial supervision, pending trial on June 15 by the Colmar court.
