Indicted for homicide and involuntary injuries, Pierre Palmade was assigned to residence under electronic surveillance within the addiction service of a hospital. The prosecution, which had requested his placement in pre-trial detention, had appealed against this decision of the judge of freedoms and detention.

The investigating chamber of the Paris Court of Appeal will deliver its verdict on Friday February 24 in the Pierre Palmade case. Last Friday, the actor, indicted for homicide and involuntary injuries after the serious road accident he caused on Friday February 10, was placed under judicial supervision and assigned to residence with an electronic bracelet. The judge of freedoms and detention of the judicial court of Melun therefore did not follow the requisitions of the prosecution who pleaded in favor of placement in pre-trial detention.

Currently under house arrest in an addiction service

The latter therefore appealed this decision and Pierre Palmade will therefore know next Friday if he is finally placed in pre-trial detention, according to information from Europe 1. In the meantime, the comedian is staying in the addiction service of the hospital. Paul-Brousse, located in Villejuif in the Val-de-Marne. At the time of the collision, the actor was driving under the influence of cocaine. One of the two passengers who accompanied him is also known to the police for acts of drug trafficking. The accident seriously injured a man in his 40s, his 6-year-old son and a 27-year-old pregnant woman who lost her baby.

Pierre Palmade is also targeted by an investigation for “possession of child pornography images” after the testimony of a man claiming to be close to the artist. The comedian’s Parisian home was searched this Sunday afternoon. Pierre Palmade could be placed once again in police custody in order to be auditioned. If these facts were proven, he would incur a sentence of 5 years in prison and a fine of 75,000 euros.
