Ingeniously wrong: The cult guessing show with Hugo Egon Balder is now running on RTL Zwei

• The cult TV guessing show “Genial daneben” is now running on RTL Zwei every Thursday during prime time.
• The first episode of the new season will be broadcast on Free TV on May 4th.
• All new episodes of “genial next to it” are also available in the stream on RTL +.

“Brilliantly off” is back! The cult show last ran between 2017 and 2021 on Sat.1. Now the change to RTL Zwei has taken place. The new season of “Ingeniously next to it” starts with the first episode on May 4, 2023 at 8:15 p.m. on free TV. RTL Zwei then shows a new episode of the popular comedy guessing show every Thursday at 8:15 p.m., in which a group of prominent guests have to answer curious knowledge questions in a completely improvised way.

In addition to being broadcast on RTL Zwei on Thursdays, the new season “Ingenious next to it” will also be streamed free of charge. Following the broadcast date on television, the respective episode is then available on RTL+ for 30 days. As has been the case since the start of the show in 2003, TV veteran Hugo Egon Balder will also moderate “Genial daneben” in the new episodes and try to mislead his guests with mischievous charm.

As always, five celebrities from the German TV and media landscape sit at the guessing table on “Genial next to it”. Hella von Sinnen, who, like Hugo Egon Balder, has accompanied the format since it was launched, is also back. Together with Wigald Boning she is the regular cast in all new episodes. Boning and von Sinnen will be joined by comedians Michael Mittermeier, Simon Pearce and TV presenter Guido Cantz in the opening episode on May 4th.
