The cause of the accident has not yet been clarified

On the night of August 16, 2019, At around 1:45 a.m., Ingo Kantorek and his wife drove onto the A8 Stuttgart-Karlsruhe in the driveway to a parking lot against a concrete barrier. The Mercedes then crashed into the trailer of a parked articulated lorry. Ingo Kantorek died at the scene of the accident. Suzana, who was behind the wheel, died a little later from her injuries. How exactly the accident came about is still unclear.
