Injured in the clinic – working at Alm: Tyrolean fell three meters from the roof

Serious accident on Tuesday in the Tyrolean Karwendel Mountains: While working on an alpine pasture in the municipality of Maurach (Schwaz district), a 51-year-old local man fell several meters from the roof. The injured man had to be flown by helicopter to the Innsbruck clinic.

The 51-year-old Tyrolean was busy with roofing work at the Weißenbachalm on Tuesday. “When the man wanted to get up from a kneeling position shortly after 12 p.m., his foot got caught on the top row of roof shingles and lost his balance,” reported the police. The man hit the ground. The local man then fell from a height of around three meters to the ground. The 51-year-old suffered significant injuries. After initial treatment at the scene of the accident, he was flown by emergency helicopter to the Innsbruck University Hospital.
