After announcing the arrival of emojis in Google Docs last April, the Redmond company finally rolled out the feature a few weeks later. Besides, if you don’t know how to use them yet, find out how to use emoji reactions.

If, until now, using emojis in your Google Docs required going through a dedicated menu, accessible from the insertion bar, there is now a much simpler and faster method. Indeed, you just have to type “@[nom de l’émoji] to quickly bring up the list of emojis related to your search.

However, as reported to us by the teams of The Vergefunctionality can become more accurate and efficient if you add a colon before inserting the emoji name: “@: [nom de l’émoji] “. This will result in the emoji you are looking for appearing directly, which will save you a long list of various options that have no direct link with the use and search for emojis.

Finally, for information, the deployment of this shortcut has already begun. Some of you may already have access to this option. For others, Google says the feature will be available to everyone by the end of September.
