Insomniac Games (Marvel’s Spider-Man 2) is hiring for a multiplayer game

Rest ? Insomniac Games does not know and is continuing to recruit for a multiplayer software. A new Marvel game? A new license? The return of Resistance?

By acquiring Insomniac Games, Sony Interactive Entertainment has secured a long-standing partner but above all an extremely prolific studio. Because in addition to Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 and Marvel’s Wolverine, the studio has been hiring for a few months for a multiplayer title.

Insomniac Games is looking for people for its multiplayer game

A new job offer has just appeared for the next game from Insomniac Games which, this time, should be exclusively multiplayer. The mystery remains intact but the announcement specifies:

Insomniac Games is looking for a talented senior gameplay manager to expand our team. As such, you will be responsible for helping us build a top team for a new multiplayer game. You are responsible for a team of chefs and executives in order to offer a product of exceptional quality, while ensuring the well-being of the members of the studio. You must have an appetite for multiplayer games and a solid experience in the field.

A job offer which, unfortunately, does not guide us in any way on the nature of the title in question.

A Marvel title? Ratchet & Clank? Resistance or a new series?

At this stage and in the absence of concrete clues, we can only speculate. However, Marvel’s Spider-Man and Marvel’s Wolverine can be eliminated from the equation.

So, a multiplayer Ratchet & Clank? Insomniac Games had released Ratchet & Clank: All 4 One. A return of the Resistance franchise could be an option… but the director of Days Gone took a break when he wanted to pitch an open-world game.

The possibilities are dwindling… but why not a new PSVR 2 compatible license? Although Insomniac Games hasn’t produced anything on the PlayStation VR 1, they have had experience via PCVR headsets that would be a great asset for the next peripheral. Finally, impossible to dismiss the track of a Marvel title in multiplayer because before choosing Spider-Man, the studio had access to the entire library of Marvel characters. The king’s choice. And with Marvel’s Wolverine in development, that wouldn’t be far-fetched.
