Meta is implementing new functions to improve the user experience on Instagram.
These tools allow the user to better filter the content offered in the “Explore” section.
New tools for Instagram
Just a few days ago, Instagram announced its desire to strengthen its sensitive content control system for the youngest users. In particular, the group decided to place all users under the age of 16 in “Less” mode by default (instead of “Standard”). Today, two new tools are announced.
Indeed, the application will soon allow all users to better filter the content that will be displayed to them via the “Explore” section. This will be done through fairly easy-to-use customization tools.
Always more personalization for Instagram
Indeed, Instagram is currently testing a new function that allows the user to show their disinterest in one or more photos. To do this, simply select the content in question and check the “Not interested” option. From then on, Instagram will immediately hide these posts and refrain from showing similar content in the future.
To this is added another feature which this time allows you to establish a list of words, phrases and other hashtags that you do not want to be confronted with. ” Whether you see something that’s irrelevant or have moved on, you can use this feature to stop seeing content you’re not interested in. “says Instagram.
In this way, Instagram wants to give its algorithm the possibility of showing each user content that will appeal to them and correspond to them. For this, Instagram reminds us that it is important to follow other users on the one hand, but also to use the “Favorites” option.
