Social media platform is struggling with disruptions worldwide

Thousands of users have been reporting malfunctions on Instagram since noon. No new posts can be created – and the feed does not load.
Instagram users worldwide have been reporting problems with the app for hours. Accordingly, the obese social media platform, which belongs to Facebook, has been struggling with a malfunction since about 12:15 p.m. The upload of photos and videos no longer works – the feed can no longer be updated either.
On Twitter, the hashtag “#instagramdown” separates – almost 50,000 posts were posted on this day (as of September 2, 2:10 pm).
“Do you have to use Twitter?”
“Again #instagramdown – you have to use Twitter”, writes one of many annoyed users the short message service. Others take the situation with humor and already post numerous memes. “So Instagram is currently repairing its servers,” writes another account and shares a picture of the sloth from the animated film “Zootopia”.
It is not yet clear when the malfunction will be resolved. A statement from Facebook is currently pending.
