Instagram wants to display more ads and even in every corner


Instagram announces to test to display advertisements on the profiles of users you consult.

Instagram and its parent company Meta are going through a difficult period, the group having recorded a worrying drop in turnover in the last quarter. To find colors, the company therefore wants to push even more advertisements on its social network. Many people are already complaining about seeing too many ads on the platform.

Advertisements on user profiles

However, as pointed out BFM TV, a press release published on the Instagram site dedicated to advertisers indicates that two new types of advertisements will land on the application. The social network is indeed testing to display ads in the news feed of public profiles. This is the interface that appears when you view someone’s profile and tap on one of the posts. These are displayed one after the other.

Thus, in this section of Instagram, advertisements should interfere between two posted photos. It is specified that this new feature only concerns the profiles of “non-teens“. Furthermore, in this test,we will experiment with a monetization opportunity that will allow eligible creators to earn additional revenue from ads displayed in their profile feeds, starting with select US creators“.

Advertising in the Explore section

The other new type of advertising planned concerns the Explore section (the magnifying glass icon). In this part of the app, you can experience more content displayed in grid. And it is precisely in this grid that pubs will invite themselves.

Some might be tempted to delete or deactivate their Instagram accounts.
