Jacques Weber: “I’m more of a theater athlete than an actor”
Finally, Jacques Weber played the character of Cyrano no less than 500 times on stage. After that, it got a bit messy. Usually, this role is always doubled, and if we listen to the opinion of doctors, Cyrano should be played 5 days in a row, and not 7 as I did; with two performances one day a week. I’m more of a theater athlete than an actor.“, Jacques Weber pointed out at the time. For the anecdote, the actor also played in the adaptation of this play for the cinema.
