Instead of 4.99 euros, it’s free at the moment: the iPhone app is the ideal problem solver

We all know the problem: On the go you want to quickly scan a receipt, a business card or other documents and then send them by email. Only a scanner is not at hand. The “Mobile Doc Scanner” iPhone app then offers itself as an ideal problem solver – normally available for just under 5 euros, but currently free of charge for a short time.

Quickly scan a document and then send it as a PDF or save it? No big deal with the “Mobile Doc Scanner” or “MDScan” for short. The app for iPhone and iPad turns the Apple cell phone into a mobile scanner and offers an alternative to Apple’s own solution within the Notes app.

5 euros saved: App turns iPhone and iPad into mobile scanners

Normally, this costs just under 5 euros, but at the moment we don’t pay anything and get the app free of charge in the App Store for a short time. MDScan offers various features, which the developer describes as follows:

MDScan automatically detects edges, corrects distortions and balances brightness to produce the clear, legible documents you need in a flash.

One is particularly useful Function to record more than just one page at once:

If you are running out of time or need to scan a multi-page document, MDScan can use your mobile device to scan multiple pages in a row in batch photography mode and save them for later batch processing. This is ideal for when your battery is currently low.

The PDFs can then be saved or forwarded using a variety of options – Dropbox, Google Docs, Box.net, email services or other social media applications, everything is possible.

Check the price again before downloading, unfortunately it is not known how long the promotion will last:

What good is the Mobile Doc Scanner?

So is it worth downloading? Most likely yes, after all it’s available in the App Store promising 4.2 out of a maximum of 5 possible stars. However, only 18 ratings have been collected, so the app does not seem to be particularly well-known and popular. After all, it is updated regularly, most recently in March of this year. Since it is currently available for free, you can definitely try it out.

If you want this, you need an iPhone with at least iOS 14 or an iPad with at least iPadOS 14. At just under 15 MB, the storage space required is very manageable. Important: As always, you should check the price again before downloadingsince it is not known how long the app will be offered free of charge, so far this has usually been the case for 4 to 5 days in the past.
