Instead of fuel cells – Toyota burns hydrogen instead of gasoline in the engine


Among other things, it has no lubricating properties like petrol and diesel do because it does not contain any carbon. In addition, it attacks the lubricating film of existing lubricants in two ways: On the one hand, it attacks the carbon-carbon bonds of the long-chain hydrocarbons in the lubricants, the fragments of which burn. On the other hand, in that the hydrogen flame burns right up to the wall of the cylinder and not, as is the case with gasoline, goes out when approaching the edge zone.
