Xiaomi fans are hoping for a worldwide release of the Xiaomi Pad 6 Max. But the manufacturer is still keeping a low profile on this, instead Xiaomi is bringing this tablet to Europe.

The Chinese manufacturer Xiaomi is expanding its portfolio of tablet PCs with the Redmi Pad SE. While the recently introduced Xiaomi Pad 6 Max will probably only be available for purchase in China, the new budget tablet should be available worldwide and at an attractive price. Depending on the memory size you choose, you can get the Pad SE for 199 to 249 euros.

The following storage variants are available:

  • 4GB+128GB: 199 euros
  • 6GB+128GB: 229 euros
  • 8GB+128GB: 249 euros

Sales will start in Germany on August 22 at 10 a.m. in the Chinese manufacturer’s online shop.

Redmi Pad SE launches internationally

What do you get for your money? The Redmi Pad SE offers a slim metal housing in which Xiaomi has embedded an 11-inch LCD. The screen has a Full HD resolution and can display images at up to 90 Hertz.

A Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 works inside as the processor, with either 4, 6 or 8 gigabytes of RAM available. The device memory is 128 gigabytes in size, but can be expanded using a microSD card.

On the back is an 8-megapixel camera for taking photos and videos, and on the front is a 5-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls. You record videos with both cameras in Full HD at up to 30 frames per second.

The tablet draws its power from an 8,000 mAh battery. Four speakers, support for Dolby Atmos and a headphone jack complete the equipment.
