THE graphics cards entry-level could finally experience a little something new thanks to Intel and NVIDIA… while waiting for AMD?

Expected for a long time, the Intel Arc A580 graphics cards are at the heart of a new leak. However, the group chaired by Pat Gelsinger still refrains from any comments.

Remember that the Intel Arc range of graphics cards began in June 2022 and that, from the outset, there was talk of marketing the A310, A380, A580, A750 and A770.

In reality, this Arc A580 was remembered by us through two leaks, published in quick succession by our colleagues at VideoCardz with, initially, the revelation of cards signed ASRock and Sparkle.

Without there being any question of launch date or price yet, the two manufacturers are clearly preparing the launch of the Challenger OC on one side, and the A580 Orc on the other. At ASRock, the card looks a lot like the A750 model with the same (?) cooling system based on two fans and this double 8-pin connector to power the card. There is talk of a TDP of 175 watts (compared to 225 watts on the A750).

At Sparkle too, things are very close to what is offered on the Arc A750. The cooling is identical (at least in appearance), and we are still entitled to this duo of 8-pin connectors for the power supply of the A580 Orc card. It is worth remembering that the A580 is equipped with a GPU equipped with 24 Xe-Cores, for a frequency which would be 2 GHz.

Only two partner manufacturers of Intel?

As if to drive the point home, a second leak was spotted, again by VideoCardz. This time it is a question of a slide, apparently from official Intel documents.

This simply recalls the entire Intel Arc range from the smallest model, the A310, to the most powerful, the A750 and A770, the only ones that we tested at Clubic. All the technical characteristics are summarized there, but the most interesting is found in the second leaked slide.

Indeed, this seems to reference Intel’s main partners in the Arc range, and if we find the Acer A770 Predator BiFrost model tested in our columns, we especially see that only ASRock and Sparkle seem to be on the scene for the Arc A580.

A new GeForce RTX 3050 6 GB

If the A580 will clearly be an entry-level model, and we currently have no information regarding a hypothetical “GeForce RTX 4050”, rumors however point to something new at NVIDIA.

Finally, something new is quick to say, since the rumor in question suggests that NVIDIA would be working on an RTX 3050 model that is still a little less powerful than the three references already launched in 2022. It would be a question of a card based on GPU GA107-325, while the previous ones were based on either GA106-150 or GA107-150.

The GA107-325 seems to have to significantly lower certain characteristics, and we are talking in particular about a boost frequency of 1,470 MHz, compared to 1,777 MHz on previous references. The rumor also mentions a 96-bit interface for the memory, compared to 128 bits until now. Finally, it would only be a question of 6 GB of VRAM, compared to 8 GB on the current RTX 3050.
