It is to wonder if the graphics cards desktop from Intel will still have some interest on the day of their actual release.

For several months now, Intel has been playing with the nerves of graphics card enthusiasts who hope to see a new player emerge in this market dominated head and shoulders by the AMD / NVIDIA duo.

Even mobile GPUs are slow to come out

Unfortunately, if Intel’s announcements around Arc Alchemist solutions have become more precise and more ambitious presentation after presentation, there is still no question of finding said cards in stores.

More embarrassing, Intel has even regularly postponed the “official launch” of its products. For a time, there was talk of seeing them tumble in the first quarter of 2022 before the thing was reserved for mobile solutions only.

Solutions which, themselves, have been postponed and are currently only available in South Korea. Arc Alchemist for mobiles should be more generally released from next May / June and the mystery remains around the dedicated maps for our PCs desktop.

Nothing before the third quarter of 2022?

Of course, nothing official in what will follow, but the leaks reported by Videocardz have often been correct and there is now talk of the A770, A750, A580 and A380 being released at the end of the second quarter of 2022 or, even worse, at the start of the third quarter of 2022.

According to these rumors, however, it would not be a hardware problem at the level of the cards themselves: we are talking about a software suite not developed, and when we know the importance of good drivers, we understand Intel’s delays.

Problem, the more Intel is forced to postpone the release of its cards and the more they risk being outdated even before their availability. Remember that Intel was already targeting “only” the GeForce RTX 3070 / 3070 Ti for its high end knowing that in a few months, AMD and NVIDIA will launch their new architectures, RDNA 3 and Lovelace.
