Clearly, the launch of the new range of graphics cards stamped Intel is marked by communication hiccups.
On March 30, Intel finally launched the Arc Alchemist range. Admittedly, it was then only a question of mobile solutions, but at least the products were going to come out in the wake of this presentation… well, that’s what we thought.
Galaxy Book2 Pro on sale in South Korea
In almost two weeks, no laptop equipped with Arc Alchemist graphics solution has actually been marketed and online stores do not even offer pre-orders.
Intel reacted by explaining that the actual release would finally take place at the end of the second quarter of 2022 – therefore rather next June – but one country already has such machines.
Indeed, we have just learned that Arc Alchemist laptops are indeed available… in South Korea. Without Intel having mentioned the matter in the slightest, it seems that a partnership has been signed with Samsung.
The manufacturer therefore distributes in its country of origin Galaxy Book2 Pro equipped with Core i7-1260P CPUs and Arc A350M GPUs. They are supported by 32 GB of RAM, 1 TB of storage and a 1080p AMOLED screen.
The reference was spotted by our colleagues from Videocardz which also underline the price of this configuration: 2,620,000 KRW or not far from 2,000 euros, a significant sum for what is only the smallest GPU in the Arc Alchemist range.
Intel Support reacted on Twitter stating “ having received incorrect information and confirming that the Samsung systems are available in South Korea and that a larger scale distribution would be soon. For Arc performance, we are still waiting to see, but for those of Intel’s communication service, there is progress to be made.
