The flagship of the new Alder Lake-H line, the Core i9-12900HK is the fastest mobile processor on the market. At least this is what Intel said yesterday during the presentation of its new chips for laptops. The brand ensures in particular that its i9-12900HK outclasses by a large advance the powerful M1 Max chip, launched by Apple on the MacBook Pro 14 and 16 at the end of last year.

Remember that this is not the first time that the Core i9-12900HK has been announced as the winner against the M1 Max chip. A preliminary benchmark of the new Intel flagship was already going in this direction last October, well before its official launch. Unfortunately for Apple, the thing seems to be confirmed.

As a reminder, the Core i9-12900HK is based on the Alder Lake hybrid architecture. It thus brings together 6 high performance cores and 8 cores designed for energy saving and everyday activities. The high-performance cores of the chip are able to keep up to the 5.00 GHz boost, and the consumption of this new processor is announced at 115 W … which is significantly more than the Apple M1 Max processor, which is probably close to 90 W The latter for its part includes 8 high performance cores and 2 low consumption cores.
