Two electric motors to choose from, high payload
The all-electric Transit Custom is powered by an electric motor located at the rear, which has a choice of 99 kW (135 hp) or 160 kW (217 hp). Mileage and fuel consumption are not yet known. In order to save a subframe and weight, the drive was anchored in the chassis. The maximum torque of 415 Newton meters is sufficient to tow a two-ton trailer. Ford claims the best value in the segment for itself. The payload is 1100 kilograms and the loading volume is between 5.8 and nine cubic meters depending on the version (two wheelbases, two roof heights). The loading space length reaches up to 3.45 meters.
