To celebrate its 30th anniversary, Behavior Interactif, the studio behind Dead by Daylightannounces its next major release, Meet Your Maker. Billed as a first-person building and looting game, Meet Your Maker is slated for release sometime in 2023 on PC – via Steam – as well as PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series. And for those who would like to have the game in hand before its official release, it is possible to register now on the official site to try to participate in a closed playtest which will begin on August 23.
In a dying world, players will be invited to embody the Guardian, servant of a living experiment created as a last resort to hope to save life on Earth. Her name, the Chimera. Your mission will be to get your hands on the most coveted resource on the planet, namely, pure Genetic Material. For this, two methods will be presented to you. On the one hand, build and fortify labyrinthine outposts that will be used to extract as well as protect the MatGen. On the other hand, manage to infiltrate the bases designed by the other players to steal their MatGen.
Over the course of the story, players will therefore move from one role to another, thus requiring them to be as good at designing outposts to create an impregnable fortress as they are at infiltrating intelligence. And you won’t have to run out of it to hope to grab the MatGen from other players and get away with it in one piece.
With gameplay primarily relying on players creating each level for players, no two outposts should ever be the same. The title should therefore offer a very high replayability.
