Passed by Manchester United or still in the workforce, the two internationals joined David De Gea, the club’s goalkeeper, in the Spanish structure Rebels Gaming, engaged on LoL or VALORANT.
The Spanish international Juan Mataformer Manchester United and now at Galatasaray, as well as his ex-mancunian colleague Bruno Fernandesa Portuguese international, have joined forces to take a stake in the capital of the Rebels Gaming esports team. The Spanish structure is no stranger to the world of football, since its founder is none other than David De Gea, Manchester United’s Spanish goalkeeper.
“I’m delighted to be part of this adventure, especially if it’s with my friend David de Gea. It’s a new world for me and I can’t wait to get to know this sector“, explains Juan Mata in the press release. Like others before them (notably David Beckham or obviously Gérard Piqué with KOI), the footballers were attracted by a project very close to the world of football.
Rebels Gaming is currently engaged in several competitive scenes, including League of Legends, VALORANT or Rainbow Six. At the Summer Split, the roster finished in second place in the second division of the Superliga in Spain on LoLqualifying for the Iberian Cup 2022 which will begin on October 17.
