Zurich (awp) – Intershop has sold the “AuPark” real estate project in Wädenswil to Swiss Life. The transfer of ownership took place on Friday and the amount of the sale is 190 million Swiss francs, the real estate company said in a press release.
Intershop acquired “AuPark” in 2001 and initially continued to operate it as an industrial and artisanal plot. After more than ten years of the project phase, the latter was completed in the summer of 2020 and no appeal was filed against the decision to build last March, so that the building permit entered into force. in May.
Taking into account various ongoing costs, the sale is expected to contribute to the profit of Intershop for a pre-tax amount of some 120 million Swiss francs (based on the values as of December 31, 2021).
On site, Intershop retains a plot of nearly 11,000 m2 for which a purchase contract has been concluded with the canton of Zurich for 19.8 million Swiss francs. The transfer of ownership should take place next year.
