Interview – “The exchange market is more relevant than ever”

The “Krone” in conversation with Peter Eder, organizer of the swap exchange, about winter sports, families and inflation.

Mr. Eder, you want to make affordable winter sports possible with the campaign every year. But is this even possible in times of inflation? For many, it is becoming increasingly difficult due to inflation. But I think that’s why the winter exchange market is more relevant than ever. And if you look closely, families in particular can snag bargains. How many percent cheaper are the goods on average? That can’t be said in general terms. There are products that are expensive. But most of the time they are left over. Children’s things that are only worn a little are often 60 or 70 percent cheaper. Ski passes are also being offered again this year. Which ones and how many are there? A total of 10,000 day tickets are available. With a purchase you get a free children’s or youth card. But only day tickets. There are no season tickets to buy. Do you think that because of the increasing costs, families will have to give up winter sports? I hope not! But politics is responsible for that. We need affordable or even free ski courses in our schools. I don’t want to imagine our Salzburg, where locals can no longer ski, only tourists.
