Interview with Plakolm: – “Yes” to living in grandma’s house, “No” to cannabis

Crown: Madam State Secretary, one of your primary goals is to make housing more affordable for young people. What is the situation in Lower Austria in this regard?
Claudia Plakolm:
It is clear that young people want to build something up and that is hardly possible at the moment. There are a few screws here that can be turned politically. At the federal level, I am therefore campaigning for the state additional fees to be reduced on the first home. This applies to real estate transfer tax and various registration fees. At state level, a lot has been achieved with the Young Living project. There is still a need to catch up in almost all federal states when it comes to renovation, with Lower Austria leading the way.
