On the evening of September 13, the Queen’s coffin arrives at Buckingham Palace, where it is received by King Charles, 73, Queen Camilla, 74, the Queen’s children and grandchildren and their partners. There are no official pictures from the palace, only a photographer’s picture shows some of the royals in an intimate moment in the palace window. Prince Harry, 37, and Duchess Meghan, 41, can be seen walking down the stairs in mourning clothes and with their heads bowed behind King Charles.
Procession to Parliament
After a final night in the Bow Room of Buckingham Palace, Queen Elizabeth’s journey continues to Parliament on Wednesday, September 14, 2022 at 3:22 p.m. German time. Tens of thousands of mourners can then watch in central London as the Queen’s coffin is carried in a carriage from the Palace to Westminster Hall, where it is due to arrive at 4pm. He will be laid out there for four days until the funeral on Monday, September 19. The 38-minute procession, which will include King Charles, Prince William and Prince Harry as well as Princess Anne, 72, Prince Andrew, 62, and Prince Edward, 58, will lead to the palace via the Mall, Whitehall and Parliament Square from Westminster.

There the closed coffin of the queen is placed on a catafalque, a raised platform topped with the royal standard and on which lie the orb and sceptre. The Archbishop of Canterbury will then lead a 20-minute service with the Dean of Westminster. The time of the official laying out begins at 6 p.m. German time. Until 7:30 a.m. on Monday, September 19, people can come 24 hours a day and pay their last respects to the Queen.
