Intimate taboos: You don't talk about it … but we do!

Do you know that when you think something is wrong with you? Your "problem" is completely normal. You just don't know – because almost nobody talks about it. Then it's high time you did!

1. Let it flow!

White discharge? Quite normal and nothing to worry about. If you take a closer look, the white stuff is really important and our little hygiene officer down there. Excess mucus and dead cells are drained away through the discharge and intruders are repelled. Everything is kept moist and clean. The consistency is decisive and can easily be inspected. From thick to cheesy to thin, everything is very common. However, if the discharge looks yellowish or greenish and has an unpleasant smell, the alarm bells should be ringing as this could be a sign of infection.

2. Don't get angry right away!

Already noticed that dark underpants change color over time – mostly orange. Like drizzling some bleach on the spot. It sounds crazy, but the vulva is actually capable of bleaching textiles. Their pH value is naturally acidic, which reduces the risk of being infected by sexually transmitted diseases. Real vulva power! There is not much you can do about the discoloration, by the way, other than wear panty liners.

3. Hey Popöchen

Pimples in the genital area? Also quite normal. Whether in the bikini line or on the buttocks. The annoying things are unsightly, but by no means the end of the world. The fact is: pimples can actually plague us not only on our faces, but also on almost all of our bodies – including our intimate areas. Apart from our hands and feet, we have sebum glands everywhere, which can become clogged with excessive sebum production or sweat. VoilĂ , pimples appear. Happened to the best among us. The pimples should never be squeezed out, this can cause scars. So stay away!

4. Vulva show

No two vulva are the same – and that's perfectly fine. The inner and outer labia may have different curls, lengths or thicknesses. Asymmetry is also normal. And what is also very common is that the inner labia protrude from the outer one. The colors can vary from light pink to dark to almost black. Cheers to the diversity of nature.

5. The first gray hair?

Oops, a gray hair !? Yes, it is no different between the legs than on our heads. Gray pubic hair can also grow, but it doesn't have to. When the time comes, don't panic, it's normal. But it's good that we've talked about it before.
