Intoxicated by drugs – Innviertler threatened his family with a pistol

A family dispute killed a 36-year-old in the Ried/I district. Apparently he was so angry that he quickly grabbed a blank pistol and threatened to kill his relatives. Cobra and Rapid Intervention Group (SIG) forces overwhelmed the Innviertler.

The initially verbal conflict broke out in the family’s shared house in a small community near Pram in the Ried district (location known to the editors). The 36-year-old was on drugs at the time of the crime. Suddenly the argument escalated. He threatened the relatives – his two sisters and little niece – with a blank gun at the ready to kill them. However, they were able to escape into an adjoining room and alert the police. Special forces from Cobra and SIG overpowered the highly aggressive man and arrested him. The 36-year-old was taken to the Ried prison. The relatives were uninjured in the incident.
