Live-action investigation game, The Centennial Case: A Shijima Story is announced for May 12, 2022. The game, developed and published by Square Enix, is expected on PC, PS4, PS5 and Switch.
The script will focus on the history of the Shijima family. Victim of many inexplicable deaths over the past hundred years, it is considered, so to speak, cursed. It is in this context that you will play Haruka Kagami, author of crime novels. During a visit to the Shijima family, you will find yourself investigating four murder cases that occurred in three separate time periods, 1922, 1972 and 2022.
It is therefore a century-old mystery that you will have to elucidate. Gathering the clues will be done during filmed sequences. You will be able to collect real-time information on the characters but also on the places you explore and the objects found there. Once your research is complete, it is your powers of deduction that you will have to call on and thus reveal a truth that has been hidden for far too long.
